Therese Sjögran
Kerstin Ingrid Therese Sjögran, född 8 april i Södra Sandby församling i Malmöhus län,[2] är en svensk före detta fotbollsspelare. Hon spelade sist i FC Rosengård (tidigare LdB FC).[3] Hon var under proffs i den amerikanska fotbollsklubben Sky Blue FC.[4]
Karriär
[redigera | redigera wikitext]Therese Sjögran spelade under sina tidiga juniorår (–) i Harlösa AIF utanför Lund, där familjen bodde. I samband med att familjen flyttade till Veberöd, började Sjögran i det lokala Veberöds AIF. Där debuterade hon även [5] i klubbens seniorlag, då i division III, endast 14 år fyllda. Hon följde även med när laget några år senare avancerade upp i division II.
Som åring nominerades Therese Sjögran till Skånes länslag och deltog då i Cup Kommunal. Senare blev hon även uttagen till två landskamper med Flicklandslaget samt spelade i ett drygt tal matcher i Ulandslaget. I det senare landslaget var Sjögran med och vann en turnering i Bulgarien.[6]

Manchester City have confirmed the appointment of Therese Sjogran as their new women’s director of football.
reported earlier this month that Sjogran was due to arrive to replace Nils Nielsen who stepped down in June.
Sjogran, 47, joins from FC Rosengard in her native Sweden, where she previously played before becoming their sporting director in Rosengard won four Swedish titles during Sjogran’s time as sporting director, including this season where they are 11 points clear with two matches remaining. Sjogran will start her new role on December 1, following the conclusion of the Damallsvenskan campaign.
At City, the former midfielder will work with head coach Gareth Taylor, who signed a new three-year deal in March that keeps him at the club until , while managing director Charlotte O’Neill leads the women’s team’s business operations.
