Älmhult (Swedish pronunciation:[ˈɛ̂lmhɵlt]ⓘ)[2][verification needed] is a locality and the seat of Älmhult Municipality in Kronoberg County, Sweden with as of [1]

It was in Älmhult that the first IKEA (the Swedish furniture company) store was built. IKEA continues to have a large corporate presence there.[3][4] A museum of IKEA's history, the IKEA Museum, opened in the town on 30 June [5] It was constructed to present the history of IKEA.[6] Visitors to Älmhult can also experience the IKEA Hotel, which opened in It is near IKEA's offices and opposite the IKEA Museum.

The botanist Carl Linnaeus was born in Råshult, Stenbrohult, which is now part of Älmhult Municipality.

Älmhult has a local gymnasium called Haganässkolan and an international school that goes up to Year Haganässkolan is an International Baccalaureate-authorized school that offers the IB Diploma Programme since August [7] The school also offers a preparatory year, the Pre-Diploma Programme.

    Älmhult Municipality (Älmhults kommun) is a municipality in central Kronoberg County in southern Sweden. The town of Älmhult is its seat.

    In , Älmhult was detached from Stenbrohult and made a market town (köping). The present municipality was created by the local government reform of , when Älmhult was amalgamated with the surrounding rural municipalities.

    Of historical significance is that the botanistCarl von Linné was born and grew up in the parish of Stenbrohult in the early 18th century. Today, the estate on which he was born and lived his first months has been turned into a museum at Råshult and is still surrounded by the same meadows and fields as years ago.

    Allegedly, the area has a variety of different specimens of plants, likely to trigger the interest of a botanical minded youngster. The geography is probably not distinguished from its neighbouring municipalities, however. Like all other Småland municipalities, it contains a variety of lakes, streams and especially forests.

    The first IKEA store was opened in Älmhult by Ingvar Kamprad, who grew up in the municipality.

    In the heart of Älmhult you will find Stena Aluminium, a leading aluminum producer of recycled raw materials. The facility has been located at the same location since the beginning of the 20th century and is surrounded by various buildings. Due to the close-by buildings it&#;s of great importance for Stena Aluminium to know how much noise they are spreading, both to ensure that the total noise level complies with their environmental permit, but also to minimize any disturbance to neighbors.

We have also supported with requirements and control measurements when tendering new verktyg, to man sure the noise doesn’t exceed set guidelines.
