At all bachelor programmes, an internship may replace courses during your elective semester. Two year advanced level programmes at JIBS also offer internship possibilities. Read more about internships here.

School located studies

During School Located Studies, the teacher education students leave the School of Education and Communication in order to spend a period of time in their future professional environment. The School of Education and Communication cooperates with over 1, schools and kindergartens and other employers in both the private and public sectors. 

Work placement

Work placement is included in all programmes at the School of Health and Welfare and the School of Education and Communication. The School of Health and Welfare collaborates with approximately hospital and health care departments and institutions.

    Vad

    Arbetsträning innebär att du under en tid får vara på en arbetsplats och delta i verksamheten. Du får möjlighet att utföra arbetsuppgifter med hjälp av handledning utan några krav på produktivitet. Det kan handla om att delta i en arbetssituation, till exempel att umgås med arbetskamrater. Du får också bekanta dig med krav och förväntningar som finns på en arbetsplats. Genom att arbetsträna kan du få erfarenhet och referenser som kan underlätta för dig att få ett jobb.

    Arbetsträningens längd är olika beroende på vilket program du deltar i. För dig som deltar i jobbgaranti för ungdomar kan arbetsträningen pågå i upp till 3 månader. För deltagare i etableringsprogrammet och jobb- och utvecklingsgarantin kan arbetsträningen pågå upp till 6 månader. För dig som deltagit länge i jobb- och utvecklingsgarantin är tiden utökad till maximalt 12 månader.

    Arbetsträning är för dig som deltar i jobb- och utvecklingsgarantin, jobbgarantin för ungdomar eller etableringsprogrammet.

      Arbetsträning

      What

      Job training means you will spend some time in a workplace and participate in the operations. You will get the opportunity to work with the help of supervision without any productivity requirements. It can involve participating in a work situation, for example hanging out with co-workers. You will also find out about the requirements and expectations in a workplace. Through work training, you can gain experience and references that can man it easier for you to get a job.

      The duration of work training differs depending on which programme you participate in. If you participate in a Job Guarantee for Youth, the work training can gods for up to 3 months. For participants in the Introducion Programme and the Job and Development Guarantee, work training can last up to 6 months. For those who have participated for a long time in the Job and Development Guarantee, the duration has been extended to a maximum of 12 months.

      Job training training is intended for participants in the Job and Development Guarantee, the Job Guarantee for Youth or the Introducion Programme.
