An exhilarating hike you will never forget. Great forces have been at work in Kärkevagge, creating high cliffs, boulder fields and delta formations. This is a fairytale landscape with fields of colorful alpine flowers &#; a paradise for hikers.

Our route takes us through a beautiful birch forest with a lush understorey and continues up over areas of primary rock, reminding us of pre-historic ages. Then we come to the majestic valley called Kärkevagge, that could be straight from Lord of the Rings. The path meanders over eroded rock features formed by the most recent ice age, surrounded by flora in yellow, purple, white, red and green.

As we arrive to Geargejávri, better known as Trollsjön, we take in the beatuy of the lake which glitters like fire in the sun, and a lunch break feels good after our final ascent. Take a dip if you feel bold, or just stroll around and enjoy the atmosphere, before we return along the outflow of this enchanting lake.

  Abisko - Abiskojaure

  The beautiful ingång beside the STF Abisko Turiststation fryst vatten the nordlig starting point of the Kungsleden trail. Along the trail you will find protected orchids that grow in the mountain marshland.
